Downtown, Shuiwei
Here, for my friends who are not now in China, or haven't seen it before: A quickie tour of my weekday neighborhood, one of Shenzhen's busier districts. If you're already in China, it's not too enlightening, except you may notice I have a foreign accent.

Sheesh, Shenzhen looks clean, there was no heaps of rubbish, the footpaths were flat and continuous, it's way cleanr and tidier than a lot of Changsha or Beijing, except where those have been redeveloped and are copies of ...USA?
I guess Shenzhen doesn't have any old bits but BJ sure does. Single story hutongs which look interesting but are totally unsuitable for 15M people, landuse-wise. And Changsha has the 4 stories high, 12 foot wide category, unless those bits have been redeveloped too.

That's clean?! Glad I don't live in Beijing or Changsha then. Shenzhen has some old-ISH parts, but not very old, just blocky and crummy-looking.
