Russia, China and Texas
Reuters reports that a man in Texas has been charged with selling liquor without a license after police has found bottles with vodka that contained dead baby rattlesnakes.
Follow up:
"Bob Popplewell, who runs "Bayou Bob's Brazos River Rattlesnake Ranch" tourist attraction west of Fort Worth, was believed to be selling the vodka in the Asian community, where snakes are seen having aphrodisiac properties, state authorities said."
This is true; I've had my share of liqueur with a dead lizard in it. Only in Puerto Del Carmen, not China.
It was a Chinese restaurant though.
I didn't know it was a Texan thing though.
Sergeant Cloud didn't either according to the article:
"I've been with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission for 20 years," Sergeant Charlie Cloud said. "This is the most bizarre thing I've been involved in."
The only thing I don't understand is: why vodka?

No, really, notice he was probably selling them to "the Asian community" which is likely to mean the fairly large Korean group. If you think Koreans have funny tastes, wait til you meet Korean Texans!
